Qualifications

• A highly-driven, enthusiastic and compassionate educator who is committed to their students’ success.
• Strong subject knowledge of English language arts for grade 7-9 students.
• An effective communicator with students and the leadership team.
• Ability to build, foster and maintain strong connections with students.
• Strong workload management skills.
• Confident in using computers/laptops/tablets.
• A flexible and adaptable approach.
• Experienced in meeting outcomes outlined in the Alberta curriculum.
• Hold a university bachelors degree in teaching.
• Possess Alberta teaching certification.
• Completed a minimum of 1 years teaching experience.
• Proof of eligibility to work in Canada (Canadian birth certificate, Canadian citizenship certificate, permanent/temporary residency card).
• Provide a recent police information check with vulnerable sector screening.
• Possess a reliable computer/laptop/tablet equipped with audio/video technologies such as a microphone and webcam.
• Available to tutor during evenings, weekends and school vacations.
